My dad said he was holding the gun like that because he knew that if he was pointing it directly at the camera, like Richard and Alex were, it wouldn't show up well in the picture.

Thank goodness he wasn't around during the days of the Wild West, he wouldn't have lasted too long.

I mean, look at that, the hammer's cocked, he's squeezing the trigger, and he's got the gun pointed at Richard's chest. I believe this is where the term, "killed by friendly fire" originated.
